In the village and beyond

so last night our friend Mark gave us an incredible private tour of his house, the tower of London! We walked right through the gates with him and he gave us some great history of the architecture, inhabitants and some personal stories.
we saw the ceremony of the Keys which is the official locking up of the tower, and after we got to drink in the provate bar of the beefeaters (invitation only!) See the pics of us walking around and us in the bar)
Then he brought us into his living quarters and showed us an old painting from the 1300s on his fireplace and some reenactment stuff he has lying around. ALso are some pics of his roof with a great view of tower bridge. He will hopefully have a BBQ there this summer.

Mom and Laurene loved Mark a little too much, but he was super awesome for doing that for my fam.
