Hey all,
Today I emailed my Senators Dodd and LIE-berman to ask that they represent ME in voting against the Alito nomination and filibuster should the Dems get the opportunity. You all should go to www.senate.gov and email as well to make sure that Bush isn't handed Unitary power by Scalito with the constitution on the side to wipe his arse with!

The Moody Blues are touring the UK in the Fall of 2006. Ha!

Good news, all. I got a raise at work! Woo! I think they felt guilty for the amount of work I was doing for them even though I started as a normal temp. Now I can really "splurge" on things like dry cleaning!
I went travelling all around west London hospitals today getting documents signed for the project I am working on. I got to see some good NHS goodness. Imagine- going into a hospital where I could get free treatment! Amazing. You won't get that in the US.
Which gets me into a rant on why England is better than the US in a few ways. Gay people can now get married. No capital punishment. Banning of firearms to the public. This is like a land that liberals only dream of in the States. why are we so backwards in some areas? I'll tell you why- Tennessee*.
Bad sides to England: Separate taps in most sinks. The word civilisation doesn't look right. Marmite. No Oprah!
Sorry for that random rant. I had a long day....
*Tennessee singled out for illustrative purposes only. No mental harm intended.

Yay! I am feeling much better and have my apetite back. I hope to see Jarhead this week and get some sushi which I haven't had in months!
I baked my own bread and rolls while I was sick and it was good the first few days but now it's not so good. I hope to make my own pasta at some point. That would be neat.

Hey all,
The strike wasn't bad at all. It was not the train drivers, but the station staff who went on strike. I actually got a seat in the morning that day. I am home sick right now. Something awful has been going around the office and I got into work on Wednesday and puked in the bathroom (my curry dinner from the night before!) afterwhich they sent me home in a black cab all the way across London. Once home I would be sick every 2 hours and I slept all day and night. I am feeling a bit better tonight but feel like I have a fever.
James has been helping me by delivering cans of soda to me day and night because that is all I can manage to ingest. I am supposed to be going to a Dems abroad meeting tomorrow where they are showing a film about walmart. Hope i can make it.

Hey all! I went to a Democrats Abroad meeting and it was really fun. But speaking of dems, did you see Bill O' Reilly on Davis Letterman? Here is a link and you can stream Dave digging into Bill saying he is full of crap and should respect Cindy Sheehan. I couldn't believe it, it was so great!
