Hey dudes,
London is actually sunny today so I may go out and read in a random park. Yesterday I went to see the new Jim Carey film "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" by myself by surprisingly a lot of people where there alone too. It was an excellent movie. I then met James and friends in a pub afterwards.
Today I plan on going to the Saatchi gallery which hold some of the most funkiest artwork and then I will meet peeps to go play football in a park around town.
We are planning my ultimate last night in London for tomorrow and all the crew is coming. I think I want Thai food! then we will probably pub it then club it.
I have a feeling sunday will be crazy...

Alas, I will have no pics until I get back to the states. I will do some sort of slideshow of all my stuff then. Yesterday I went to the Tate Modern museum of modern art and today I will go to the national portrait gallery. Then maybe shop around carnaby street. Who knows...

I am back from all my travels thank goodness. We just got back from Canterbury last night and I can finally rest until the big trip back to the states. This week I hope to go to all the museums that I've missed out on during the semester.

Barcelona was sooo sunny and hot today! We first started trying to go to the montjuic area but it´s one big mountain so Victoria and I just turned around and walked the other way! We saw a lot of the old Olympic things because the summer olympics were here a little while back. There is some crazy avante gard architecture here which I captured in some pics. These are coming out awesome!

Celeste: screw daquiries... We are talking glasses of sangria as big as my head! The street performers are whacky and the beaches stretch for miles! There are fountains everywhere and palm trees!

Victoria and I sat outside of some cafes, went to some of the sights, and lounged around tanning by a big fountain by La Ramblas. Tonight we shall dine on tapas and call it a night. Tomorrow we return to London and then I have to catch a train right away to Canterbury because Saturday is James´mom´s b-day. Good lord all this travelling!

Today was packed full of sunny goodness. So much for the weather report! The sun came out and we went by the beach. We also went to the Picasso museum, the arc de triumf (not as good as the parisian one) and some fountains, gardens and such. We are en route to the hostal now and then we will go out for a late dinner. Yesterday we had mixed paella and gelato!
Our hostel is in a nice central area, but last night we slept without blankets because they charge 2€ extra. But we may splurge tonight for the warmth.
La Rumbla is the street we are off of and the street is lined with vendors and street performers, gelaterias, and shops! It is so fun!
Wait, mom. You are right! It is the Cinquo de Mayo! Then we HAVE to celebrate! Mmmm Sangria.

Celeste: I really think you would love it in Barcelona at the height of the sunny season. I just get that feeling.

ahoy ahoy. Barcelona is incredible! I can´t post any pics on the net anymore so you will have to wait to see my pics from paris. I am non stop travelling and tired. But this is all worth it. Hopefully I will get rest on the beaches of Barcelona and during the siestas! Blog you later!

Bonjour Bloggers! Paris est très belle!
So the 10 hour bus ride wasn't so bad after all. It went to Dover where we took an 80 minute ferry over which was kind of like a cruise ship. We got into town at 7 AM and took the metro to our hotel. The weqther is gorgeous even though they predicted rain and we walked to see La Louvre, La musée D'orsay, and Notre Dame. Today we aim to go into La musée d'orsay, see L'arch de Triumph and the Eiffel Tower. Last night we ate at this amazing resteraunt where I had fesh calamari, pasta and bread. We sat at a café and had some croque monsiouers.
I return tommorow, so I should have pics up by then.

J'aime la vie, j'aime Paris!!!

OK so I brought all my crap to James' but now I found out that BU rents out other housing for 85 pounds a week after the program has ended. This is soooo beautiful! I am with my friends who chose to stay and it is 10 times better than the Crofton on queen's gate. It's like a proper palace, not little hotel like rooms. this is wonderful to not have class or work to worry about. I am really thinking of moving back into here. oh well. We leave for paris tonight so I will probably not have a lot of internet access until I get back.
The war rally was really powerful and made me cry because it was all true about the folly of America once again and then bringing in all the British soldiers who are dying for a war that the people here strongly appose. Gee.


Amendment:
I am DEFINITELY going to Barcelona from Tuesday 4th - Friday 7th with Victoria. Too bad I am coming back from Paris on Monday night. Dear lord I am going to be so travel weary, but the hostel in Spain is 10 minutes from the beach! Yaaaaay!

Hello all,
I have officially moved out this morning from queens gate and I have lugged all my crap to James' place. Because this was so incredibly difficult, I will ask his friend Sebastian (who has a car) if he would kindly bring me to Heathrow on May 15th.
Paris is official. My friend Katrina and I are going by a coach bus which will take 7-10 hours each way! It was only £47 round trip. Too bad the bus may be cramped uncomfortable and bumpy. I am sure we can get each other through this harrowing experience. We leave Friday night and arrive in Paris on Saturday morning. We are meeting her sister there and we are all staying in a bed and breakfast. Thank god for no more hostels! Katrina and I will return to London Monday night. I can't wait to use my broken french only to be shunned by snooty Parisians! But hey, I'll at least be in Paris!
I am also going to an anti-war rally held outside of the US embassy. i will surely not be in the front lines chanting, but I would like to see this spectacle in person.

So today I started packing. My suitcase is soooo heavy! But it doesn't look like I have to ship anything back, thank heavens. I posted some pics from my birthday. One is of the flowers I got from Mom, Celeste, Jeff and Abigail and the other flowers to the right are from work on my last day.
The other pics are my friends and me all at the mexican food place. The one where Mark looks like retarded is hilarious! He's the guy who lives in the tower of london.

Birthday went well. I went with friends to a pub, the mexican food place, went back to the pub, and then to a nearby bar. I had guacamole, tortilla chips, salsa, a quesada! So good! Too bad I had to order a virgin pina colada. That was quite depressing for my 21st! Apparently "No alchohol" is not in the English vocabulary.
On the whole, it was great. Kati got me a huge bar of Chocolate which will get me through writing my paper today. James got me a Josh Ritter CD and two books that seem very interesting. One is a novel called Regeneration about shell shock or PTSD in WW1 and the other is called the Bridge.
It went by too fast!
I have to start packing too. damn.

Thanks all for your birthday wishes! I had class early this morning and now I am writing a paper... The lady at the store carded me for buying a mini bottle of champagne. How old do I look!? 17?!
Anyway, I am inviting all my friends out for Mexican food tonight and they are all coming.. some BU friends, some of James' friends. It should be really nice. I think we are celebrating my b-day on wednesday because that is when our finals are over and we can go out dancing and not care what time we have to get up.
I am going to Paris from the 30th - 3rd with Katrina and her sister. We are staying at a B&B thanks to the birthday $$$ or should I say £££!

So apparently Alister Simm is a star in a british comedy series about school girls where he plays the comic headmaster having to deal with all the comic situations the girls get into. Go figure.

Also: Baseball is an adaptation of a British little girls' game called Rounders. I saw some kids playing it in Hyde Park. That is why men here can't take American baseball seriously.

My last day of work went well. they got me flowers and a card. I am so happy to never go back again.
This weekend I spent time in Greenwich Park and Regent's Park and went to camden again. I played bingo at a club and there were all old ladies with 20 card in front of them staring me down for looking for a seat. Very pathetic.
So tomorrow is my big 2-1 and I have class at 9am... ick.
But I do plan on going out to dinner for Mexican which I've been craving for weeks and then going to an indie club. Yaay.

For some reason we got to talking about Christmas films, and they don't know about Charlie Brown's Christmas, The Grinch animation, or the Rudolph claymation.
BUT they DO broadcast every year on TV The Snowman!!!! I thought this was hilarious. For those who do not remember, The Snowman is that film with the very depressing song in it. We'll surely watch it this coming Christmas.

so today we had a launch for Kenzo clothing.. we had 10 dozen krispy kremes delivered and only 2 used for the whole day! Needless to say I brought home 2 dozen.... god help me.. I also stuffed myself with sushi from the event. Mmmmmm... doughnuts and sushi. Do you think they even each other out?

Yay for my last week of work. On Wednesday, there is a launch for Kenzo clothing and we are preparing the show room where it will be all this week. For the event, they are having 5 dozen krispy kreme doughnuts delivered! I will be there with bells on.

On thursday, James and our friends are going to play "football" in Hyde park (translation soccer). Then I invited them to have a few drinks in my amazingly posh flat just for kicks. I turn 21 in a week! wahhooo!

I came back early from Scotland because it was cold and rainy and I had done everything I wanted to do. The train both ways took 5 hours and the hostel was skell as per usual. I posted some pics of my trip. I went to a rock club with live music that was nearby my hostel, but being there by myself was lame so I went back early. The bouncer however let me in for free. I went to Edinburgh castle which had some nice views of the city. But once you've seen one castle you've seen them all.
Then this morning, I went to a pub to have a full Scottish breakfast before leaving. It was 9am and already there were Scotsmen in the pub with pints of beer! Dang. I tried haggis which is really gross mixture of blood, intestines, kidneys etc but is traditionally Scottish. It tasted like stuffing to me.

It has recently come to my attention that I have a birthday coming up and while I am across the pond, I would like nothing more than for my last few days here to be in something less than abject poverty.
