I find it ironic that a woman who became brain dead through complications associated with sever bulemia nervosa is starving to death in hospice care. And I say this with consideration to the extreme gravity of the situation.

Instead of crying sexism on the grounds of male judges and husbands as FOX news favors, why are people not taking this as an opportunity to point out the cruelty that Terri had to go through during adolescence as an overweight girl with glasses? Is America resiliant enough to celebrate individual difference from this media wreckage? or will Jeb be the third of the Bush dynasty?

Yes, this whole media circus is outrageous. I think the surprisingly high disapproval ratings over this congressional interferce just shows that many Americans have been deeply touched by similar painful events in their lives that are playing out on the screen. Americans may jingoistically approve of war though never having experienced it or to reduce the cognitive dissonance they feel regarding loved ones serving overseas.

But I take these low approval ratings as unequivocal proof of the power of human suffering that average Americans face throughout their lives. Also interepretted as "just don't go there." America is not ready to face death. It's too close to us. For once it seems that 70% of Americans actually have something in common.

But we will watch, our stomachs turned. Oh how we will watch...

Here are pics that James took of the protest in London of the 2nd year anniversary of the start of the Iraq war. This is coverage that is impossible to find in any US media outlet. Also, they marched down my old stomping grounds by Hyde park.

James bought this children's book about the revolutionary war just for this one page describing how the british soldiers' hearts just weren't into burning down our buildings. Thus, we won the war.

Oh yeah, and here's our team. Notice all the mullets 'cause most of them are from Canada, eh? We are ranked 14th in the nation while BC is ranked 1st. We still beat them 2-1 because BU has won 26 of the 50 Beanpots that have ever been played. I swear I will take my camera next time so I get my own pictures of the band playing.

Oh yeah, BU won the 1st round at the Beanpot last night against BC, our bitter rivals. Here's a picture of the Fleet Center where they ship the band to play for our team. These pics are actually from some random BU student's website, but they're really good.

This picture never gets old. So James was waiting for a confirmation for his tickets because he is flying Virgin Atlantic here, but some Continental flight out. He called them today and they screwed something up, but essentially they fixed it and his tickets are in the mail.

It's official! James is coming to America from March 1-11th!

I got back to school the other day and I am working hard on the job search before class starts next week. I have made a decision to work abroad in London again through an agency that provides working permits for Americans. It is only good for 6 months. I am working every single GE contact I have to see if I can work for a short time in their office in London.

I am so glad that many of you are coming to my graduation! May 22nd, mark your calendars. We will surely be crazy on that trolley ride around Boston.

Hey, here is a great article about the annual Gallup Poll taken about how American rank certain professions in terms of trustworthiness and ethics. Read carefully where advertising ranked! Geez....

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- Nurses get top marks when it comes to honesty and ethics, and car salesmen are the least trusted people, according to Gallup's annual U.S. survey of professions released Tuesday.
Nurses were given a "very high" or "high rating" by 79 percent of those surveyed nationwide in telephone interviews with 1,015 adults, aged 18 or older, conducted November 19-21.
Grade school teachers were next highest on the chart of 21 professions at 73 percent, one point higher than pharmacists and military officers.
Car salesmen brought up the rear with only 9 percent rating their honesty and ethics as high. That was one point lower than for people in advertising.
Journalists did not fare much better in public approval.
TV reporters (23 percent) and newspaper reporters (21) ranked below auto mechanics (26) and nursing home operators (24) on the list.
The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points, Gallup said.

My roommates and I have entered a door decorating contest at school.
We stayed up til 1am last night putting on the final touches.

It took Raj and I 6 hours to drive to Boston from Danbury! Ugggg.
We thought we'd be slick and bypass Hartford by taking 91, but we drove right into traffic to Bradley Airport! D'oh!

Back to school.. Back to Homework.

The band banquet was quite fun tonight! Afterwards, our band director took all the seniors out to a nearby pub and bought us all drinks!

Though I didn't get any awards, I was told by some of the staff that the Bass Drums were the only other contenders for "Section of the Year!"

Also, I was told that I was nominated for senior of the year! At one point in some show, our marching instructor said, "Thank god for Kim R*****," because I held the tempo together in a tough spot. One of our drum instructors even said he hoped I would fail one of my classes so I could come back and march again! I don't think so!

The marching band banquet is tomorrow and should be fun. It is a catered event at some Rock Club in Boston.

Also looking forward to Celeste's visit this weekend. Although I haven't had to wake up before 9 since I got back to school! :P

So on Veteran's Day, my roomies and I hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for 15 of our friends. It was great! I told my mom I even vacuumed my room and she nearly had a heart attack.
It was a semi formal event and guests brought wine and soda.

For appetizers I made that Spinach dip in the bread bowl and the onion dip with chips.
We also had cheesy bread and buschetta.

Dinner consisted of Turkey, stuffing, cheesy mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, corn, garlic bread and gravy! It was great!

Dessert was a yummy caramel cake, apple pie, cookies, and coffee. I posted some pictures though I wish I had taken more.

I never appreciated how much work Thanksgiving was until doing it myself.
P.S. It is snowing right now in Boston!

It's 3am wed. morning and I can't take this anymore. I went to the Kerry Rally in Copley from 9-1am. There are some pics on my sight of the crowd and of the jumbotron from performances from Sheryl Crow and Jon Bon Jovi. I also heard James Taylor perform though I couldn't see him. God Ohio....

The newest film on my pic site is called allentown. This is the full marching show that we did in PA over Columbus Day weekend. You can tell it is me because I am carrying the smallest bass drum. SOmetimes there is a zoom into the drumline.

I will be posting another movie that a make about the drumline.. should be good.

In my computers class we learned how to make digital movies. We had 2 hours to film and edit a story on digital cameras using imovie macintosh software. If you go to my link, you'll find my digital movie labelled "backrowprod.mov" Try and watch it if you can. It's about vending machines. We had a fun time and this is really fun software.

Also, I have effectively stolen my first load of laundry. That is, I have tied a string to a quarter and put that into the machine to make it think I put in 6 quarters. Sweet....

Last night after marching band we all ran back to our apartment to watch the debate. We were planning on making a drinking game out of it as in take a drink everytime Bush says, "Nucular" or "Weapons of Mass Desctruction" or drink when ever Kerry says, "We can do better." But we dropped this idea and just watched Bush make a fool out of himself. I am surprised nobody in the post-debate discussions mentioned how Bush clearly forgot what he was saying twice and froze in front of the camera for 5 seconds each.

Also, this is subtle, but I noticed how the camera men positioned their cameras to make the tops of their heads equal, when clearly Kerry is much taller than Bush. Word has it that Bush asked to stand on a riser to make himself appear taller, but the networks declined the request.
