And here is the empire state building lit up for 9/11. Go to this link for a funny Onion story on 9/11 and how they haven't done jack to rebuild the site yet. http://www.theonion.com/content/node/52325

Looks like I'm staying in my present apartment for 3 more months. My roommate lowered the rent because she liked me so much so now I will finally be able to save some dough. Here is a picture taken from my roof. You can slightly make out the double spotlights lit at ground zero. what a view. Also, Credit Suisse is lit up red white and blue

So I think I am going to take the plunge and move out of my apartment. My 6 month lease is up at the end of September and I am looking for a cheaper place so I can start to save some money. I am targeting the upper east side where many of my friends live.

It's sad, but I think I'll be happier if I can afford to go out and whatnot. will keep you posted.

"Where can you go ‘round and ‘round while still in a Square? Why, ask Geoffrey and friends (if they “R” available). Take a pic in front of it."

"Team members must act out a broadway play in front of its theater."

"Take a pic of the whackiest private label item your team can find." Nothing like chinatown for that task.

This task was to have teams posing in front of the replica of the Arc de Triumphe in Washington Sq Park. My boss is giving me bunny ears. sucker.

One task was to visit the oldest pub in NYC, McSorley's. I think all 3 teams got a point for this one.

This task was to get a pic of the team cutting a rug to the music of a street or subway musician.

Here are some pics from my department's scavenger hunt in NYC that I created. It was a really fun day all in all and nobody got hurt or mugged. yay!

The task for this picture was to get a pic of a team member riding the bull statue near wall street. Too bad it was bigger than I thought. So instead, we just posed around it.

Today I officially registered for a GMAT class in NY. I will be going every Tuesday night starting Sept 12th for 9 weeks. Then after that I will be taking the GMATs. Though I don't plan on going for my MBA for a few years, I think it's best to take this test while I am still in the habit of classes and tests. Goodbye weekends of doing nothing!

Too cute to resist. I found this in a shop by me and had to buy it. It's me!

Hey all, If you are a CT resident, you better be going out to vote for Ned Lamont in the democractic primary on Tuesday August 8th.

Give Joe Lieberman the boot by a high margin.

Be sure to vote! No excuses!

Had a great weekend in beantown and I got the tatoo I've wanted for a while! It's an asterisk (*) and I love it. The next installment will be a footnote on my foot which reads something like *some restrictions may apply.

I had him sign my book with "I can't quit you," a quote from Brokeback Mountain that he used to describe the forbidden relationship between Tom Delay and "dirty money." The authors seemed to appreciate the exptremely obscure reference from the show from like 7 months ago. What a fun night!

Yay! Sam Seder and me! He read some bits of his new book, took some questions, then signed copies of his book. Janeane Garafalo was also there, but I like Sam way better by far.

Me not looking so happy in line.

Last night I went to Coney Island with friends to see some bands play an outdoor concert. Then we ate at the original Nathan's. Coney island was really trashy actually, but I liked it.

Tomorrow, I am going to the Strand Bookshop near Union Sq tomorrow to hear AAR's own Sam Seder read from his new book FUBAR! Can't wait. He is one of my favorite hosts and I will probably have to buy a copy for him to sign. I hope to get some pics of that.
